The Infinite Game
From the bestselling author of Start With Why
BY Simon Sinek
A timely reminder that great leadership is not about winning, it’s about enduring

“Leaders are not responsible for the results. They’re responsible for the people who are responsible for the results.” – Simon Sinek, The Infinite Game

I recently revisited The Infinite Game - a timely reminder that great leadership is not about winning, it’s about enduring. In a world obsessed with short-term outcomes, Sinek challenges us to lead with vision, courage, and responsibility beyond the next quarter.

Here are three reflections that stayed with me:

🔹 Play long, even when others play short.
Finite leaders chase quarterly wins. Infinite leaders build organisations that can thrive beyond their tenure. That means investing in people, purpose, and trust, even when there’s pressure to cut corners.
🔹 Courageous leadership is the differentiator.
It’s easy to follow best practice. It’s harder to challenge it. Infinite-minded leaders are willing to take unpopular stands for the long-term health of their teams, their culture, and their mission.
🔹 A Just Cause requires more than vision, it requires action.
Having a purpose is not enough. People will only rally behind it when they see leaders living it through consistent decisions, investments, and behaviour.

This book is a challenge, to lead with legacy in mind.
